Pennies for Our Braids

By

In an amber moon
When we found each other
Your hand  ungreedy
Temperate

Your smell of soot
And the long road

You touched me
So gentle
Softer

Than my own
Hidden feathers
I knew then that love
Could exist in this world

You are the sweet wafting
In morning

And unbraid me with your
Boyish ways

Your innocence
Sometimes so huge
Your anger a violet sky

Sudden
Fleeting

You gather me close close to you. You go
And come again, I too go and come again
                                                                 Nomadic
We have found each
Other – These are our ways
And we are never lost
