Frybread

3 ½ cup unbleached flour
1 ½ tablespoon baking powder
1 ¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
1 ½ cup cooked wild rice

1 cup lukewarm milk
2 tablespoon melted butter or margarine
2 beaten eggs

Oil for frying

Heat oil about 350 degrees ° Fahrenheit (gas mark 4) in a heavy bottom pot, add enough to deep fry.

1.In a large bowl, add flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and the rice. Blend well; make a well in the center

2. Add the luke warm milk, melted butter and beaten eggs. Make a soft dough, but not sticky, add more flour if you need to. Knead until smooth.

3. Tear off a small piece and form into a small ball, and flatten into disk, about 1/2 inch in thickness and 4 inches in diameter.

4. Fry breads about 45 seconds per side, or until golden, drain on paper towels.
