2 16 oz. cans coconut milk
2 cans water (use the coconut milk cans)
½ Cup to ¾ Cup kava kava, Piper methysticum
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp fennel
1/2 tsp cardamom
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp clove
2 cinnamon sticks
Make this a day ahead. It needs to sit.
Place herbs, water and coconut milk into a crock pot. Set on lowest heat. Cook 4 hours. Turn it off. Go to bed. In the morning press it in the usual manner. Reheat or serve chilled. Add honey if desired. Refrigerate the rest. It will separate so give it a good stir before serving it up. Small sips– Very strong.
