What strategies do you use to maintain your health and well-being?
I kiss the dirt with my bare feet.
I let weeds speak to me before I pull them.
I drink bitter things and let the bitterness stay in my mouth.
I lie down when I’m tired,
even if the dishes are still watching me.
I stop trying to heal fast.
Sometimes I let the body win.
Sometimes I let the dream win.
I salt my bath like a small exorcism.
I stay close to what’s ugly and honest.
I write things down before I can lie about them.
